I think the first letter was written about ten years ago. It was very spontaneous. I felt the need to tell someone something, while also not wanting them to actually read it. Writing became a space where I could express things freely, without expectation or response.

To be honest, I didn’t plan to turn this into a book until earlier this year. I had been writing these letters since 2016, some shared on social media, others kept private. At some point, I realized they formed a coherent emotional journey, and that’s when the idea of a book naturally emerged.

Many things changed, and many things didn’t. The reader will be able to feel that evolution. The writing style, for instance, has matured over time, but the core voice and the author’s deeper beliefs remain the same, despite everything learned and experienced throughout the years.

That’s when I started reading Letters to Milena by Franz Kafka, and I’m planning to read Letters to a Young Poet next. I realized there are many remarkable works in this category, which made me appreciate even more the form I had intuitively chosen.

I don’t want to say too much, given my choice to keep that identity a secret. What I can say is that I’m not addressing myself, as some might assume. M is someone I deeply respect, with whom I’ve shared many of my realizations and epiphanies over the years.
Although the letters were never sent, writing them helped me a great deal. Today, by sharing these letters with others, I somehow make that bond even more real.

I chose to preserve that anonymity because revealing the identity would add nothing to the story or its message. What matters is not who M is, but what M represents.
Also, by not defining the relationship, I give the reader more space to project their own experiences and emotions into the pages, and to form their own connection with the text.

Reading the text without knowing who I’m addressing makes the experience more engaging and thought-provoking. It creates a sense of curiosity that invites the reader to read more closely and interpret the relationship in their own way.

Introspection, without a doubt. That’s why the subtitle is On the Intriguing Path of Introspection, and it’s also the most developed chapter in the book.
Because in many ways, all the other themes such as love, faith, and freedom ultimately serve that same purpose. They are different paths that lead back to a deeper understanding of oneself.

I think that would be one way to describe it, and I especially appreciate the word “personal” in your question, because I believe deeply in the relativity of our philosophical perspectives.
Even though philosophy is considered a discipline that seeks truth, I think our understanding of truth is always shaped by individual experience and perception. What feels true to one person may not resonate the same way with another, and that’s something the book explores.

There is an entire chapter in the book dedicated to spirituality, which says a lot about the place it holds in my life and writing. To answer your question directly, I believe spirituality and the search for meaning were among the main reasons that inspired me to write in the first place.
