الخامسة مساء
رأيت حفرة عميقة في السماء
جناحا محروقا يتدلى
يكاد يلمس ذؤابة رأسي
وأنا على دراجة نارية خفيفة جدا
مثل فراشة تتخبط في الهواء
الشاحنات ورائي تعدو مثل أرانب ضخمة
الهواء بالونة ملآى بشرار الجحيم
عرق الله يغسل نوافذ السيارات
آه كم كان جناحك يا رب مثيرا للرهبة والقلق
مثل عجلة مشتعلة في القلب.
البارحة مساء
الناس موتى
والبيوت مقابر
وأنا زومبي يجوب الشوارع
على دراجة مكسورة الخاطر
حاملا شطائر بيتزا لأشباح صديقة
إناء ممتلئا بدم الرهبان
خفافيش مجففة وبيض سحليات
الهواء يضرب وجهي بخفي خازن النار.
الشمس تتبعني مثل كلب سلوقي
كما لو أني قنيصة مصابة بزخات خرادق.

God's Burnt Wing

Yesterday,
At five o'clock in the evening
I saw a deep hole in the sky
Burned wing dangling
It almost touches my head forelock
While I was on a very light motorcycle
Like a butterfly floundering in the air
The trucks behind me run like huge rabbits
The air is a balloon full of hell sparks
God's sweat washes car windows
Oh, how terrifying and unsettling your wing was, O Lord!
Like a burning wheel in the heart.
Yesterday evening
People are dead
And the houses are cemeteries
I'm a Zombie* roaming the streets
On a devastated bike
Carrying pizza slices for friendly ghosts
A vessel filled with the blood of monks
Dried bats and lizard eggs
The air hits my face with the fire stockpile hooves.
The sun follows me like a greyhound
As if I'm an injured quarry by showers of shotgun pellets.
